Bureau Editor – Jakarta (three year fixed-term contract)

We are looking for a Bureau Editor to lead a team of experienced journalists in the bureau’s multimedia news operations. You’ll be a key player in devising strategy for BBC Indonesia; supervising the newsgathering team in Jakarta and working closely with the London team to ensure the excellent editorial standards of the BBC output. You must have experience in leading or managing a team of journalists. Having excellent Indonesian and English language skills, written and spoken, is essential. You must have first-class editorial judgment and thorough  knowledge of Indonesia, the world and regional affairs, as well as being confident in working in a multimedia environment.
